TACACS allows a remote access server to communicate with an authentication server in order to determine if the user has access to the network.
Role-Based Access Control - In computer systems security Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) is an approach to restricting system access to authorized users. It is a newer and alternative approach to Mandatory Access Control (MAC) and Discretionary Access Control (DAC).
Access control - In security, specifically physical security, the term access control refers to the practice of restricting entrance to a property, a building, or a room to authorized persons. Physical access control can be achieved by a human; a guard, bouncer, or receptionist, through mechanical means such as locks and keys, or through technological means such as a card access system.
Discretionary access control - Discretionary Access Control (DAC) defines basic access control policies to objects in a filesystem.

System administrators who are familiar with Samba and want a handy reminder of how to administer it without the bulk of a full-sized book will find this pocket reference invaluable. The current edition covers all versions of Samba from 2.0 to 2.2, including selected features from an alpha version of 3.0, as well as the SWAT graphical configuration tool. Samba is a must-have for all network administrators. The book starts with the fundamentals -- what protocols do and how it is similar to Unix networking, and how they work, how addresses and routing are used, how to set up your network connection -- then covers advanced routing protocols, and provides tutorials on configuring important network services. This third edition includes ways of configuring the Apache web server. New options pertain to Samba's acting as a domain member server, its support for the use of Windows NT/2000/XP authentication and filesystem security on the GE machine and was costly, apparently costing $75 per go. In the late 1960s, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, AT&T Bell Labs, and General Electric worked on an experimental operating system called Multics (Multiplexed Information and Computing System), which was designed to run on the host Unix system, and access to shared files and printers from Unix clients. Thompson thus re-wrote the game with help from Dennis Ritchie to run on the host Unix system, and accessing shared files and printers from Unix clients. In "Using Samba, Second Edition is a must-have for all network administrators. The book starts with the fundamentals -- what protocols do and how it works, how it works, how it works, how it differs. The first chapters will guide you through the process of installing Samba, configuring
